Jammu: The three-day JK UT Judo Championship, organized by the Judo Association J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association, commenced today at the Indoor Complex of MA Stadium.
Approximately 400 Judokas from regions including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, Kishtwar, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Anantnag, and Budgam are participating in the event.
Medal Distribution and Officiating
Purnima Sharma, Ex. Deputy Mayor, was the chief guest and distributed medals and certificates among the participants. The bouts were officiated by senior Judo coaches, including Arshi Nad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia, Shakti Gupta, Jugal Kishore, Danish Sharma, and Yashika Jamwal.

Prominent attendees included Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager of Indoor Complex MA Stadium Jammu, Vis Gupta, Suraj Sharma, General Secretary of Judo Association J&K, and Rakesh Sharma. The event is being organized under the leadership of Manish Chatwal, the organizing secretary.
