Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, paid heartfelt tributes to Shaurya Chakra Awardee Martyr Raj Kumar on his martyrdom anniversary. A solemn Shradhanjali ceremony was held at the Police Martyr Memorial, Domail Chowk, Udhampur, to honor the supreme sacrifice of the braveheart who laid down his life in service to the nation on January 2, 2004.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner, alongside the parents of the martyr, offered floral tributes and lit candles to commemorate his valiant contribution. Addressing the gathering, DC Saloni Rai lauded the unparalleled courage and dedication of Martyr Raj Kumar, emphasizing that his valor remains a source of inspiration for generations.
She reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting the families of martyrs and honoring their sacrifices in every possible way.
The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Bhat, Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality Rajinder Digra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ), and Station House Officer (SHO) Udhampur.
