Youth from Jammu & Kashmir Urged to Embrace Opportunities for Growth and Innovation

Luncheon Address in New Delhi

The Minister encouraged the youth to explore their region’s cultural heritage industries, such as Pashmina weaving and wood carving. Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana
Dr. Singh spoke about the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, which offers collateral-free loans up to Rs 20 lakh for aspiring entrepreneurs. This initiative removes financial barriers and empowers young individuals to start their own businesses, promoting economic growth in the region.

Svamitva Yojana for Land Ownership
The Minister introduced the Svamitva Yojana, which provides land ownership rights to individuals. He explained how this scheme could help resolve property disputes and act as financial backing for business ventures. Technological Advancements in Kashmir’s Apple Industry
Dr. Singh applauded the technological advancements in Kashmir’s apple industry, which have helped double apple production and improve shelf life, expanding market reach. He urged young minds to embrace technological innovations in their respective fields to drive progress.

Exposure to Modern India’s Institutions
The Minister recommended that the students visit institutions such as the National Physical Laboratory and the Prime Ministers’ Museum. These places offer valuable exposure to scientific progress and governance evolution, demonstrating how heritage and development coexist in shaping India’s future.
