In a high-level meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, preparations for Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY) 2025 were extensively discussed. The meeting was attended by Commissioner JMC, Deputy Commissioners of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, and Ramban, who deliberated on the necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
The Divisional Commissioner sought detailed reports on lodgement centers and sanitation facilities in all districts falling along the Yatra route. He emphasized the need for adequate accommodation and hygienic conditions for the devotees. District Administrations were instructed to furnish data regarding existing lodgement centers, availability of toilet facilities, and additional requirements for infrastructure development.
Officials at the meeting reviewed last year’s arrangements and explored the scope for enhancing facilities for SANJY 2025. Deputy Commissioners were directed to expedite repair and restoration works for existing amenities and plan for new constructions to further augment facilities for pilgrims.
Apart from Yatra arrangements, the Divisional Commissioner also instructed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure robust preparations for the upcoming festival of Holi in their respective districts, with a focus on maintaining law and order and providing necessary civic amenities.
With comprehensive planning and proactive measures, the administration aims to ensure a seamless and comfortable experience for devotees undertaking the sacred journey to Shri Amarnathji in 2025.
