Reflecting on Sikhism\u2019s origins, the chief minister stated, \u201cGuru Nanak Dev was the first to stand against Babar\u2019s atrocities. Guru Arjun Dev\u2019s martyrdom in Lahore upheld justice against Jahangir\u2019s tyranny. Guru Teg Bahadur sacrificed his life to ensure Kashmir remained an integral part of India.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a heartfelt appeal, the chief minister called for vigilance against forces attempting to undermine Sikh youth and create discord between Sikhs and Hindus. \u201cSikhs and Hindus complement each other. The event saw the commencement of 11,000 sahaj paaths<\/em> and the release of a book on the teachings of Guru Teg Bahadur.
