He underscored that while previous regimes stifled development, his administration has revitalized key industries and enhanced infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremony for nine development projects worth \u20b91,533 crore, Yogi said, \u201cThe double-engine government has revived facilities like the Gorakhpur fertilizer factory and Pipraich sugar mill, which were closed during earlier administrations and prepared for sale. We have demonstrated their potential for revival and operation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Major Development Projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At Janta Inter College in Chargawan, Yogi inaugurated five projects worth \u20b953.74 crore and laid the foundation for four more valued at \u20b91,478.81 crore. These initiatives, he said, will pave the way for a modern and prosperous Gorakhpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that over the past five years, Gorakhpur has witnessed investments between \u20b915,000 crore and \u20b920,000 crore, leading to industrial growth and employment opportunities for thousands of youth. \u201cGorakhpur now enjoys enhanced road connectivity with major cities like Lucknow and Varanasi, fostering economic growth and new job opportunities,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Addressing Historical Neglect<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yogi criticized the former Samajwadi Party (SP) government, claiming they neglected public health, infrastructure, and development. He recalled the encephalitis outbreaks during their tenure, which predominantly affected children from Dalit and minority communities. \u201cUnder Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership, we have eradicated encephalitis in the state,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting Gorakhpur\u2019s transformation, he stated, \u201cToday, the city boasts operational facilities like the Pipraich sugar mill, a revitalized fertilizer factory, upgraded BRD Medical College, and a fully functional AIIMS. Ramgarh Taal, once a garbage dump, is now a thriving tourist destination.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Focus on Education and Agriculture<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yogi also announced significant advancements in education and agriculture. \u201cGorakhpur now has four universities, with a veterinary college under construction. An agricultural university is being established in Kushinagar to train farmers in modern techniques,\u201d he shared. Additionally, a renovated agricultural school in Gorakhpur will provide farmers with opportunities to learn innovative methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Promoting Heritage and Global Attention<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister highlighted the government\u2019s commitment to preserving cultural heritage while advancing development. \u201cThe first Maha Kumbh of the century will be held in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.
