National Conference president Farooq Abdullah<\/strong> remarked on Wednesday that \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019 has yielded positive results but emphasized that wars do not resolve issues<\/strong>, only lead to further suffering. Abdullah made these statements during a press briefing at the party headquarters in Srinagar.<\/p>\n

He argued, \u201cOperation Sindoor has paid its dividends<\/strong>. I think there is no more question of wars. Wars do not bring a solution, they just bring misery.\u201d He illustrated this perspective by referencing global conflicts, including Ukraine and the Middle East. Abdullah highlighted the dire circumstances related to gas supplies, noting, \u201cLook at the situation of gas (supplies) here. It will take Qatar a year or two to restore gas supplies.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about the ongoing tensions in the Gulf region, Abdullah expressed his belief that the world is not prepared for war, especially given the current economic climate. \u201cDon\u2019t panic, the world isn\u2019t ready for war,\u201d he reassured reporters. \u201cThe economic conditions of every country are already bad, and no country wants war. If pressure continues, then the situation will be so dire that survival will be a challenge,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Abdullah also addressed the recent assembly election outcomes, stating, \u201cI see the results like everyone else. Mamata Banerjee is protesting the results, claiming extensive rigging.\u201d He pointed out various election results, noting the victories of different parties across states including the Congress in Kerala and the BJP in Assam while mentioning the change of government in Tamil Nadu. \u201cWhat else is there?\u201d Abdullah concluded.<\/p>\n

Regarding the impact of the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls on these elections, Abdullah affirmed, \u201cThere was an impact of everything<\/strong>. The opposition INDIA bloc is strong, and there is nothing lacking in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to recent blasts in Punjab, he remarked, \u201cBlasts have been happening in India, and there was nothing new. You should not panic.\u201d Abdullah shared his perspective on how the opposition’s scrutiny of the NC government in Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) reflects their role in democracy. \u201cIt is good that the opposition does its job. If they don\u2019t, how will they survive?\u201d<\/p>\n
