{"id":4896,"date":"2026-05-18T09:16:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T09:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/probharatnews.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/18\/jk-govt-raises-dearness-allowance-to-60-for-employees-pensioners\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T09:16:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T09:16:07","slug":"jk-govt-raises-dearness-allowance-to-60-for-employees-pensioners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/probharatnews.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/18\/jk-govt-raises-dearness-allowance-to-60-for-employees-pensioners\/","title":{"rendered":"J&#038;K Govt Raises Dearness Allowance To 60% For Employees, Pensioners"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Jammu and Kashmir Government has enhanced the Dearness Allowance (DA) for Government employees and pensioners from 58 percent to 60 percent with retrospective effect from January 1, 2026.<\/div>\n<div>The Finance Department issued two separate orders in this regard for employees and pensioners\/family pensioners drawing pay and pension under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.<\/div>\n<div>As per the orders, the revised DA for employees will be calculated on Basic Pay, while pensioners and family pensioners will receive the enhanced allowance on Basic Pension and Family Pension respectively.<\/div>\n<div>The arrears from January to April 2026 in respect of employees covered under the General Provident Fund scheme will be credited to their GPF accounts, whereas employees under the National Pension System (NPS) and pensioners will receive the arrears in cash.<\/div>\n<div>The enhanced DA will form part of the monthly salary and pension from May 2026 onwards.<\/div>\n<div>The Government further stated that in case of NPS employees, the employer\u2019s contribution on DA arrears will also be deposited accordingly.<\/div>\n<div>The orders also clarified that any fraction of a rupee arising during DA calculation will be rounded off to the next higher rupee.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Jammu and Kashmir Government has enhanced the Dearness Allowance (DA) for Government employees and pensioners from 58 percent to 60 percent with retrospective effect from January 1, 2026.
