This incentive will be available for an initial period of <strong>two years<\/strong>, up to <strong>December 31, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar<\/strong> stated that under <strong>Government Order (GO) 41<\/strong>, the new <strong>EV policy<\/strong> will come into effect from <strong>Monday, November 18<\/strong>. The primary goal of this initiative, he said, is to make <strong>Hyderabad<\/strong> a <strong>pollution-free city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the GO, the <strong>100 per cent exemption<\/strong> will apply to a range of electric vehicles, including <strong>two-wheelers<\/strong>, <strong>four-wheelers<\/strong>, <strong>commercial passenger vehicles<\/strong> like <strong>taxis<\/strong> and <strong>private cars<\/strong>, <strong>electric three-seater auto-rickshaws<\/strong>, <strong>electric light goods carriers<\/strong>, including <strong>three-wheeled goods vehicles<\/strong>, <strong>electric tractors<\/strong>, and <strong>electric buses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in the case of <strong>electric buses<\/strong>, the exemption will apply for the <strong>entire lifetime<\/strong> of the vehicles operated by the <strong>Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC)<\/strong>. The exemption will also extend to buses owned by industries that use them exclusively for transporting their own employees, provided these buses are not used for <strong>commercial purposes<\/strong>.
